Public Sector New Business Sales Executive - Connectivity/IT Infrastructure Management Solutions

Job Description

A leading global provider of IT infrastructure management solutions for enterprise data centers is currently recruiting for an ambitious and dynamic New Business Sales Executive to be home based in the Midlands or North of England. The role involves the sale of our client’s products and services, principally IT and Customer Service Management systems into the local government and health marketplaces but also the wider English and Welsh public sector. Specifically, recognisable sales orders include software licenses, training, consultancy services, support & maintenance and project management services.

Key responsibilities include:
• Securing profitable new name business through achievement of financial and other targets
• Managing the entire sales lifecycle from suspect to customer
• Preparing written responses to RFPs etc
• Maintaining an appropriately-sized pipeline of opportunities.
• Diligent follow up of opportunities generated by the company.
• Build long term relationships with clients
• The ability to deliver clearly and precisely the benefits of the company’s solutions
• Providing accurate and reliable sales forecasts.
• The ability to plan and execute a strategy to win a deal using some form of sales methodology.
• Taking business value messages to prospects which uniquely position our client as a provider.
• Maintenance of Salesforce for sales activity and forecasting

The territory for this role will be Welsh and English Public Sector organisations based north of a line drawn round the northern borders of the following counties:- Ceredigion, Shropshire, Worcestershire, Sandwell, Coventry, Warwickshire, Leicestershire, and Lincolnshire.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:
• A minimum 5 years of new business sales into the public sector with at least 2 years recent experience
• Demonstrable proof of a successful track record within at least two companies
• Experience selling IT infrastructure management solutions for enterprise data centers
