Business Development Executive - Infrastructure Managed Services

Job Description

Experienced Business Development Executives with a successful track record of selling infrastructure managed services and outsource solutions around security, networking and communications are required for this IT business systems and managed services PLC based in the South of England.

Working with an established team it is essential that the successful candidate is an experienced sales professional with a proven track record of exceeding gross margin targets of £750K+ and dealing with average order values in the range of £50K - £500K. You will need to be a dynamic “hunter” as the role is 80% new business focused. Equally you will have experience of working in the channel selling to end users; engaging and influencing tier 1 partners (Cisco, Nortel etc) and product and services suppliers. Any previous experience or aspirations of selling application software (ERP, CRM etc) will be useful as the business will begin to align itself more closely to the outsourced services side of the business.

You will require a minimum of 3-5 years solution sales in an Infrastructure environment; Experience selling managed services and outsource solutions in security, advanced networking, communications and virtualization to corporate enterprise and large SME’s; A sales knowledge of the data centre and network technology stack; Current relationships with core data centre vendors (Cisco, HP, IBM, Nortel, CA); An ability to lead and manage complex and high value sales engagements; Significant experience of service level agreement and contract negotiation.
