Job Description
An experienced Pre-Sales Consultant is required to join a leading provider of enterprise marketing technology to deliver pre-sales and technical expertise for our clients Web Content Management Systems product set, as part of the Sales team whose aim is to win business from new and existing customers.
Reporting to the UK Pre-Sales Manager, you will be required to:
• Work alongside and support the Customer Account Managers to create, develop and maintain profitable relationships with business Customers. Including product development teams and technical support.
• Provide technical assistance in the successful recruitment of, and ongoing relationship with, Systems Integrators and Partners.
• Provide Standard and Custom Demonstrations of the Content Manager product range
• Participate in and/or manage customer facing technical workshops and similar meetings.
• Contribute to the technical elements of RFI/RFP/Tender completion and submission
• Conduct or participate in customer trials, evaluations, proof of concept and any other technical aspects of the Pre-Sales process.
• Provide domain expertise and knowledge transfer to the rest of the Pre-Sales Team and other departments.
Technical skills
Essential
• 2 years Pre Sales or Consultancy experience in Web Content Management Systems
• Experience using .Net based Web Content Management Systems or related Web technology tools whether commercial or open source, e.g. Sitecore, Ektron, Episerver.
• Proven Technical experience in .Net web technologies.
Desirable
• Pre-Sales experience selling to large multinational organisations and/or government bodies.
• WCM/CMS Consulting/Implementation experience
• Able to understand / articulate market evolution, trends and positioning against major players.
• Experience with: .Net development languages such as C# / VB.Net; JavaScript, Ajax and similar technologies; Web services, SOAP
Personal skills and experience
• Strong presentation skills in order to articulate features, functions, and benefits of WCM/CMS software solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to professionally interact with customers and business partners.
• Must be a self-motivated, team player with strong planning/organizational skills and commercial awareness.
• Have the ability to travel extensively within the UK
