Job Description
Our client is a fast-growing Big Data startup with some game changing technology in next generation data storage solutions. We're seeking an experienced Marketing Director, reporting to the CEO, to take a leading role in building out the marketing functions.
You'll bring strong experience of B2B marketing in technology startups with a skill set that spans lead generation, marcoms, digital and product marketing; you'll be able to hit the ground running. You'll be happy rolling up your sleeves and taking a hands on approach, at the same time as putting in place a world-class team and doing the strategic planning necessary to build the brand, increase the sales pipeline and accelerate growth.
You will have demonstrable experience of the following:
• At least 5 years success in management roles with a B2B technology firm
• Exceptional track record of developing and implementing successful marketing strategies and building outstanding marketing teams in the technology sector
• SEO and SEM and managing digital content
• Marketing to open source communities as well as large enterprises in the database software space is a big plus
• The ability to communicate across all levels in both technical and commercial contexts
• Ability to test, iterate and thrive in a fast-paced, agile startup
• Smart, entrepreneurial, creative and passionate
• BS or higher degree in marketing, business or technology related discipline preferred
Some national and international travel may be required
