Job Description
Our client is the leader in big data storage engines and with a rapid adoption in the enterprise, we are looking for a rock star Inside Sales Representative, reporting to the VP of Sales, to drive the creation and management of high quality opportunities. Working alongside the Sales Team you will help the team to meet and exceed sales quotas across target markets with an opportunity to build a global inside sales operation.
Our Client is a fast-growing Big Data startup with some game changing technology. They tackle the complexity and efficiency challenges posed by Massive Data applications.
You will be required to create qualified leads and opportunities by outbound calling, attending conferences and events and converting incoming customer inquiries and leads. You will need to determine customer requirements and understand the technical scope of projects in order to generate a pipeline to meet and exceed quotas for the Sales Team. You will also work with Marketing to conduct/attend lead generation programs including seminars, community events and tradeshows. Some travel may be required within the UK, Europe and North America
You will need the following:
• At least 2 years experience working in an Inside Sales role ideally in the technology startup and/or database/technical sector
• A good degree from a good university
• Able to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Bright, energetic, tenacious and professional with outstanding communication skills
• Outstanding relationship building skills with a high degree of responsiveness and integrity
• Ambitious and driven to succeed in sales with a strong attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities and varying deadlines
• Happy working independently and using initiative to get a job delivered
• Familiarity with the database/IT applications/enterprise market would be an advantage
