Job Description
A well-connected Business Development Manager eager to make your name know in the industry is required for this internet based company selling web hosting and design services within multiple sectors across all markets including (but not limited to) Retail, Education, Business start-up organisations, Design agencies and Financial.
Initially there will be a strong bias toward new business, self-generating appointments from own knowledge, exhibitions, trade shows, Internet, cold calling and networking events. Once an account has been converted your cross, upselling and networking skills will be paramount to increase the awareness of the brand and drive additional sales.
Reporting to the CEO you will be: extremely well motivated and have a passion for technology whilst retaining the common touch for less technically astute individuals; able to present and pitch up to board level and have the ability to negotiate and close large complex deals; successful above all with the ability to generate your own leads and ideally bring some contacts as well as good networking skills.
You will need the following skills:
• A proven track record of sales to the small/medium sized enterprise market (SME)
• An excellent understanding and appreciation for social media, new technology and creative marketing, in particular Facebook, you tube, twitter, Wordpress etc
• Targeted business owners, marketing directors/managers and having the ability to quickly establish trust and credibility,
• Both the ability and track record to self-generate leads and gain appointments.
• Ideally you will have sold/have an understanding of the domains and hosting industry or possibly other technology related products
• A strong awareness of search engine optimisation and the e-commerce business will be a distinct advantage.
• Ideally you'll have previous experience in with a hosting company, web design agency or consumer led technology Company.
